On the First Day of Christmas...

We were lucky enough to be able to celebrate Christmas for 4 days in a row.  It was busy, but thanks to a reminder from one of my oldest and best friends, I was thankful for all the love that results in such a busy time!  We spent the majority of day 1 (12/22) at home making cookies for Santa and spending the day in our jammies.
Cutting the cookies
Waiting for them to bake
A little taste of the icing
And finally, the decorating!
She dumped sprinkles on most of hers
Trying to perfect the frosting
The finished product.  Next year, we'll buy Christmas colored sprinkles!
Happy girl after eating one of Santa's cookies!
Later that evening, we went to have a Christmas dinner at Nanna and Gumpy's house.
A friendly game of Memory
Carter and Collin opening their gifts from each other.
This one was a hit with both of the kids.
And the Furby!
After dinner and presents, we headed outside to roast marshmallows and make smores!
Thanks for a fun first night of Christmas Nanna and Gumpy!

DECEMBER!

What a December it's been so far!  We are so looking forward to the next 4 days when we will celebrate with our family through Christmas night.  But first, we want to update you on what we've been up to this month as as we have prepared for and enjoyed the holiday season.
Right after she turned 3...because she just looked so big!
Elvie came back!
And brought a yummy donut breakfast with him from the North Pole!
Ready for breakfast with Santa.

Giving his wish list.

Santa trying to persuade Kate with a candy cane.
It worked!

Spending time with some of our best friends for the big game!

Collin's assignment on what Christmas is all about.
Our pinterest felt Christmas tree.
Silly Elvie.
He got tired of me forgetting to talk to his Aunt Kelli.
Out for a ride on one of the nice days.
Making pinecone Christmas trees with Campbell.
Getting ready to decorate the house!
The stockings were hung...

One of my favorite Christmas memories...when mom got out the bag of Christmas books!
"Is this backable?"  Katelyn got tired of me telling her every ornament was breakable, so she started asking me about each one.
"We're sort of out of room, mom."

Katelyn's preschool Christmas program.  Love her expression.
Katelyn and her buddy Owen.

Collin's Christmas party!  NINE kids out with the flu and we still don't have it...yeah!
We got a train this year for around the tree.

North Pole party at Emma and Owen's!
Yummy!

Pink Pig!  Love this tradition with our sweet friends!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
