Happy Birthday Campbell!

This year, for Campbell's 4th (cannot believe it) birthday, we had plans to go to Build-A-Bear.  She turned 4 March 2 and we just now (barely) made it there today because of all the germs going around!  But better late than never, and the kids had a blast!  We were so happy to spend time with Kelli, Carter, Campbell, Carrigan and Nanna!  Here's a few pics from our day.

Easter Fun

Daddy got to go to Katelyn's school party since I had to work, but he got some great pictures for me!

We took him straight to the pediatrician, because I didn't want to end up at urgent care over the weekend.  He was complaining a lot about his throat.  The doc said it was a virus, probably the flu.  So we came home and he pretty much stayed in his bed for 2 days.

Collin tried to get out of bed to check out his basket.  He lasted about 15 minutes.

Needless to say, Collin and I had to miss out on the festivities.  But Kate got all dressed up in her Easter best and headed down to Fayetteville with Daddy.  I had to snap a few thousand pictures before they left :)

Sounds like Katelyn had a great time at Auntie Joy's house.  Really sad Collin and I had to miss it!

But I did try to make Collin's Easter special.  He finally emerged from his room to dye eggs!  He mostly watched and bossed me around, but it was fun!

We also played tic tac toe and planted his grass grow kit the Easter bunny brought.  Even if he was sick, it WAS nice to have some one on one time with my little guy! 

And it turns out, we just went to the doctor too early.  I took him back today because he had developed this awful rash and he just wasn't getting better.  This time we got a positive strep test and he has scarlet fever!  Good news is I'm hoping he'll be better by tomorrow now that he has an antibiotic!

Happy 6th Birthday Collin!

Collin turned SIX on February 3rd!  He had a great birthday weekend!  The night before, we went out to eat at a yummy chinese restaurant and then to the Gwinnett Gladiators game. 

For his birthday the next day, we enjoyed the morning at home, went out for lunch at McDonalds (Collin's birthday choice), and then to Skate Country!  I took Collin there for spirit night for his school the Thursday before.  It was his first time at a skating rink, and he did pretty well, so he HAD to go back.  This second trip, he really learned how to balance and roll (instead of trying to run in the skates).  He even got me on skates for the first time in at least 15 years!  I think the 3rd time will be the charm, and he will just take off. 

The following weekend, we had our first birthday party away from home.  Collin chose to have a teenage mutant ninja turtle party at karate!  I think this might have been our most fun birthday party so far.  While I secretly love spending time crafting things for parties and getting the house all set up, I have to say it was really nice to just be able to enjoy the party this time.  And the kids had an absolute BLAST!  Since it was at karate, we were able to invite a LOT of kids.  Collin loved having all of his family and friends there to celebrate with him.  I did make a banner (well, I modified a store bought banner) because it's impossible to find TMNT party supplies that aren't vintage or discontinued (and therefore, really expensive).

Thanks to pinterest, I also made the party favors and can't believe I forgot to take a picture of all 30 of them.  Here's the 3 we had left over.  They were attached to some TMNT mutagen ooze (aka noise putty).
